The Ripple Effect
How do you want to show up in this lifetime?

When I was in my late 20s, I worked for our local phone company, US West, in the wireless division. Joe Nacchio, the CEO of Qwest performed what I called a hostile takeover of the company that I dearly loved.
Long story short, he was convicted of insider trading while leading the company. Many of my colleagues lost their jobs to his greed and others lost their retirement savings as stocks plummeted.
To relieve myself of the heartbreak and anger, I remember sitting at my cubicle thinking that he is going to have to feel ALL the hurt he caused all of these individuals when he died. Sadly, I got pleasure in knowing he was going to experience all the suffering that he caused so many to experience in his Life Review.
I am not sure where I learned about the “Life Review”, but it resonated with me. For those of you who are not familiar with this term, it is my understanding that we will feel and experience all of the emotions, good and challenging, that we have caused others to feel and experience at the end of our lives.
This is not done as a heavy event but more of
an understanding and awareness for our spiritual growth.
We are Loved and accepted unconditionally. We are supported in this process.
I don’t want to admit it, but I had that thought many times in my life about situations that were dark and ugly to me. I would literally think, oh, they’re going to have to feel that in their life review. It had been my “Ha! You jerk,” moment that I am not so proud of, but it kept me from thinking vengeful thoughts and sending more of that out into the world.
As I obtain more wisdom, I am better able to see the “ugliness” as an
experience
and not give it too much power. This is after my little fits and venting sessions with friends, but I do my best not to spew the “uglies” back at the person or situation anymore.
I now get still and go into my heart and focus on the best possible outcome to shift my experience.
I am sharing a podcast this month and I highly recommend every single one of you listen to it. It’s only about 20 minutes and is about near-death experiences, specifically with the Life Review. Some of them are warm and fuzzy, and some of them are real and hard.
While I was listening to the warm and fuzzy ones I felt a full heart and thought of moments when I was genuinely kind. While I was listening to the more difficult ones I wanted to say, “oh those people,” but the truth is we all have experiences that we’re not proud of. We have all made decisions out of fear that were not pretty and had a negative ripple effect, but it doesn’t mean we have to continue in that manner.
For experiences where I was not my best, and caused others to feel pain or suffer, I acknowledge the effect I have had on others, I forgive myself for actions that I took that did not reflect my best self, and I focus on creating more Love.
WE ARE ALL ONE.
We are all connected and to watch and feel what we do to one another because of fear is interesting, to say the least, but I think this was a great reminder for me. It reminds us that we are here to have the human experience but more importantly,
we are here to create, to expand. and to Love. We are here to Love unconditionally. It is the ultimate goal in my mind.
Let's be the Love! Let's have a
Loving ripple effect on those around us.
Please take a moment and Listen to
this podcast by NDEPodcast.org, I think this will help you to really begin to focus on your energy. Think about the ripple effects that you're putting out there into the world.
We see the effect we have on others, we forgive ourselves for causing pain, and we focus on creating more Love.
Let’s get clear about what really matters and how we want to show up this lifetime.
Much Love,
Dena Gould
