Why does this keep happening to me?
How to reprogram your subconscious for a life you desire (and deserve!)

My friend recently shared that someone she cares about is constantly experiencing the same negative situations. Despite being kind, empathetic, and always willing to help, they keep attracting negativity.
You might wonder why this happens. It's not about being unkind or unfair. It's about our beliefs and how they shape our reality. People who seem successful and happy often believe they deserve those things.
It's not about being kind; it's about our programming and frequency.
Understanding subconscious programming and frequency
Let’s understand the concept of programming and frequency. Our frequency is in direct relation to how we've been programmed.
Our early life shapes our beliefs. I learned this concept in my late 30s while reading Dr. Bruce Lipton's book
The Biology of Belief. He highlights how the subconscious mind is programmed during the first seven years of life. In these early years, the brain is primarily in theta and alpha states, the same frequencies associated with hypnosis and deep meditation.
I believe that this “programming” begins while the baby is in the womb. This means everything that we hear and see up to the age of 7 becomes part of our beliefs and many of those beliefs become our programming.
Most of our life experiences are directly related to our programming because it becomes our frequency. This is why I love the work that I do: When we work together to clear up negative beliefs and programming, we can create new beliefs and attract more desirable experiences!
The impact of our childhood experiences
Many of us grew up feeling like we didn't matter or were a burden in some fashion or another.
Remember those times when a parent was always too busy? It's easy to start believing that you're not important, especially when you're surrounded by parents who might be struggling with addictions, anger, or trauma.
From these tough experiences, we often create agreements with ourselves to try and fit in or feel valued. Maybe you decided you had to be perfect, or maybe you thought you needed to be everything to everyone. Or maybe you just shrank away and hid to avoid disappointment.
These agreements have become part of your frequency, unintentionally attracting more experiences that reinforce them. Even small moments, like a kid being mean to you in class, can have a lasting impact.
These hidden wounds can manifest as recurring patterns and challenges, blocking us from achieving our desires.
Breaking Free from Negative Patterns
To break free from these patterns,
we need to take responsibility for our vibrational energy.
Blaming our spouse, our boss, or any external factor won't change our circumstances. Instead, we must do the inner work to clear away limiting beliefs that are no longer serving us.
There are very few healing modalities that can clear the subconscious, so I'll go more into that later, but first, another revelation.
I recently heard Robert Edward Grant say, “Judgment is the source of all suffering.” I took a deep breath. We only judge when we are triggered.
You'll know you're making progress when you're less triggered by other people's behavior. It's an exhilarating experience! Clearing negative programming can be vulnerable, but it's incredibly rewarding. You truly are the creator of your life, your experiences, happiness, and success.
I'm not saying you need to deny the hard things that have happened to you. But you do need to take your power back and stop living in the past, which can't be changed.

4 Practical Steps to Clear Old Programming
Here are some practical steps to start addressing and clearing old programming
1. Identify your limiting beliefs:
- Journal: Write down recurring thoughts, feelings, and patterns in your life.
- Reflect: Where do you feel stuck, anxious, or unhappy? What beliefs might be underlying these emotions?
- Feedback: Ask trusted friends or family members for honest feedback about your patterns and behaviors. This can be challenging to do, I know it can be extremely tough to allow yourself to get vulnerable and ask. Skip this step if it will cause you to close up and not continue uncovering your old programming and healing! But do try to remember, it is in these uncomfortable moments of vulnerability that you will find the connection and clarity you need to heal. You have to go into it knowing that these people love you and would like to help you through things that you are struggling with. They are giving feedback with love, and notice if you start to turn it into a negative spiral!
2. Challenge your beliefs:
- Question the validity: Ask yourself if your beliefs are truly accurate and helpful. Are they based on facts or assumptions? At what age did this belief develop?
- Replace with positive beliefs: Write down positive affirmations to counter your negative beliefs.
- Turn the belief around: Learn more at www.thework.com. Byron Katie is a master at this.
3. Practice Mindfulness:
- Meditation: Regular meditation can help you become more aware of your thoughts and feelings, allowing you to challenge negative beliefs.
- Deep breathing: Deep breathing exercises can calm your mind and reduce stress.
- Mindful awareness: Pay attention to your thoughts and feelings throughout the day, without judgment. FEEL and honor the emotion without judgment.
4. Take Action:
- Perform Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) to clear the limiting beliefs from your subconscious. EFT is one of the few healing modalities that can clear the subconscious. I have tons of these on my YouTube channel.
- Celebrate small wins: Acknowledge and celebrate your progress, no matter how small.
- Schedule a session with me or join our women’s retreat in February.
Remember, it's your journey, it's personal, and it's not going to look like anyone else's - so keep focused on you! Be kind to yourself and celebrate your progress along the way!
Much Love,
Dena
