Daydreaming caused my depression! Let's Manifest instead.

Do you find yourself living in The Daydream?
I think many of us were taught that it is healthy to daydream. I remember learning somewhere that daydreaming helps with our creativity.
Unfortunately, I have never found that to be true in my adult life. At least not in a way that I heavily benefited from.
My daydream is a way to escape my reality.
When I live in the daydream my reality becomes more boring, hard, and depressing. I lose my focus and passion for life. In the past, when I found myself depressed, I can guarantee I was not taking an active role in my reality.
(read that story here!)
I am using the definition of the daydream to also include any place we go mentally to escape, that keeps us from taking action in our reality. It doesn’t have to be full of the easy life with lots of money, freedom, and the perfect partner. For some of us, we like to focus on the worst-case scenario and going into the “worry cloud” provides purpose for our minds. This daydream allows us to feel a sense of purpose. It keeps us always feeling safe and prepared.
Take a moment to pause, and think about your own experiences: has that daydream ever once made your life better? How much of your valuable time and energy have you spent in the daydream?
I know that it can be enticing, and it is easier than taking action in your “real” life, but guess what?
THIS reality is where you live.
Well, unless you are having an enlightening experience, but that is a whole different shade of rainbow – enjoy that experience!
You are a brilliant being, make decisions in the moment instead of living in the “what ifs.”
We say we want success, happiness, freedom, etc. Those are all feelings that come from within.
Only WE can create those feelings and we must take ACTION to do so.
*
That action begins with a thought.
*
Feel free to use your IMAGINATION to create the feelings and experiences that you desire.
*
Get clear on what steps you can take today, this week, and this month to make your desire a reality.
*
Spend your valuable time on being excited about what you are CREATING instead of getting lost in the daydream.
When the seduction of the daydream creeps in, have a go at “flip and turn” action to change it.
Some of my favorites:
- I don’t have to think that thought. I am the creator of my reality.
- Bye Felicia! I Love the process of my creations!
- My life is here and now! My life is here and now! I am right here living my best life.
- Ain’t no one got time for that! I am the Goddamn Light! I am! I am! I am!!
Choose to make this fun! Please also add in those visualizations along with the feelings that you desire.
Visualization is intention.
Create the knowing in your being so that you change your frequency and create a match!
This is the Law of Attraction.
This is you taking an ACTIVE role in your experiences.
I would not have my business without this practice. It took a LOT of small steps, but I know I would not be as successful as I am without the slow growth. I did NOT jump in with both feet. I made it work for me and continue to create more experiences that feed my soul.
Much Love,
Dena Gould
